Effortless Entertaining Tips
If you’re planning a holiday party over the next few weeks, here are some of the best entertaining tips to help ensure that it’s a fun and relaxing time for everyone—including you!
Start Early
The best way to keep stress at a minimum when hosting a party is to prepare in advance. Don’t leave everything until the morning of the get-together. Try to have almost everything done before the day of the party. Tidy-up the party space one day, set the table the next and decorate the third day. By spreading out tasks, you won’t feel overwhelmed and will have plenty of time to get ready.
Keep Things Simple
Don’t go overboard on decorations, drink options or games—keep things simple. Holiday parties are about spending time with friends and family, so put up a few decorations, have one or two drink options, put on some holiday music and mingle with your guests.
Plan a Simple, but Delicious Menu
Often, the most stressful part of a holiday party is preparing the food. To avoid spending the whole party in the kitchen, plan a menu that is easy to execute but doesn’t sacrifice on flavour.
At SupperWorks, we recently launched our Self-Catering Menu, where you can serve larger quantities of some of our most popular dishes. Choose from options like Ron’s Favourite Flat Irons, Chicken Wellington or even Kids’ Choice Mac ’N Cheese. We also offer holiday appetizers, cheeses, and desserts. We’ll take care of all the prep work, so you just have to pop the dishes in the oven and serve. Easy and delicious homemade meals, with no stress!
