Why Susan Opened a SupperWorks Location
I visited the SupperWorks in Oakville soon after it first opened and loved the experience and the satisfaction of coming home with 6 healthy dinners for my family. It happened at a time in my life when I was searching for a change from my career on Bay St.
SupperWorks embodied many of my passions: food and cooking, business and being of service to others, so I set out to learn more, thinking I would copy the concept in Toronto. I spoke to the guru of this industry, a consultant in Denver, and he suggested I speak with the SupperWorks founders, We all met up at a meal preparation conference in North Carolina and I liked them immediately; we have been good friends ever since. Together we opened the first SupperWorks in Toronto, in Forest Hill.
Later, when that store was bursting at the seams, I found a location in the neighbourhood I originally intended, Leaside, and I opened a second store there, eventually merging both stores together in that location where we have now been since 2008.
Why SupperWorks is Special – According to Susan
SupperWorks is unique in that it gives several options as to how much involvement our customers want in preparing their dinners. SupperWorks can be the sous chef that just shops and chops and makes it easy for customers to assemble their own meals, or it can custom assemble and deliver the dinners to the door.
